Fields of Major Research Interests

Vision Correction (i.e. progressive addition lens design, contact lens design, optical instruments); Advanced Optical Manufacturing (i.e. single point diamond turning of freeform); Thin Films Optics(i.e. multi-notch filters for retinal laser surgery, and nonpolarizing guided-mode resonance filters); and applications of technologies in ophthalmological engineering and education.
